ID industry, we need to talk
Advanced Design is a nonprofit organization bridging the gap between traditional design school and the realities of a design career. The organization focuses on making design education more accessible and inclusive through community-building initiatives, alternative educational programs like Offsite, and interview series like Lens, which connect students and working professionals.
Focusing on the intersection of hardware and software, I gave a talk as part of their Lens series that explores where industrial design adds the most value in an increasingly digital economy. I argue that when developing novel technology, our core responsibility shifts from creating differentiated styling to driving product vision.
